NATURE PLAY

Children are innately and naturally curious about the living world. Nature pedagogy thinking offers authentic opportunities to build a strong foundation of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) as well as offering plenty of literacy and arts experiences.

From 'mud labs' to cloudy skies children can be inspired and learn from everything natural.  Children’s involvement in building bug hotels, growing vegetables, caring for chickens, recycling and composting food scraps provide real learning and problem solving opportunities.

Working with the natural elements of wind, fire, water and earth allow children to test, explore, and hypothesize about their theories and find their own answers to questions and wonderings.

Please take the time to watch the film below, and gain an insight into how nature is integrated into the daily lives of the children.

Engaging the heart, head and hands.
